For those of you who don't know Mas had some sudden issues with the bath 2 weeks ago.
It was a Sunday evening and because Austin was home he was helping. I ran the tub water and Austin undressed Mason. I went to get a diaper and jammies and Austin went to put him in the tub. All of the sudden I heard screaming; terrified screaming. I went into the bathroom and Mas was freaking out. He was shaking in a full blown scream.
We took him straight out and wrapped him in a towel. He had been fussy all day and we brushed it off as teething and tired. But the next night the same thing happened. Austin was at work and I did our normal bath routine. I filled the tub with water but as I started to undress Mason he began shaking and crying. When I held him over the tub to place him in it he clung to my neck and raised his feet to his chest as to not touch the water. I decided to just put him in jammies and have Austin help me in the morning.
The next morning the same happened. Between the two of us we were able to wash him but he was truly acting terrified of the water. He has never been scared of the bath and usually loves it. He plays, crawls and splashes.
I decided to wash him in the sink the next night. He cried when I placed him in the water but it wasn't a shaking scream and I was able to clean him. After 2 more nights in the sink he was comfortable. He wasn't crying and he was even playing.
I continued to bath him in the sink for about 4 days but as you can see the more comfortable he got the less it worked out. As an 11 month old he is very into climbing... everything
and soon it was clear the sink was just too small for adventurous Mas
This weekend, with the help of Austin, we attempted the tub again. He was a bit nervous about it the first 2 nights but by Monday evening he was fine. Tonight he also did well and it was just me.
I am not sure what got into him but I am sure glad it is gone. We were concerned about the sudden and intense terror of the tub.

Warrior Dash 2012
Saturday we took a girls trip up to Kansas City for the Warrior Dash.
It was amazing!!!
Seriously you should look into it next year
We got there a bit early so we could pick up our packets and check things out.
We found a warrior and Katie chased him down so we could have a picture with him
There was a ton of interesting people to say the least
Soon it was our turn to race! There were heats all day, every 30 minutes, with 600 people per heat!
People finished anywhere from 25 minutes to well over an hour.
The first part of the race was a run, probably 3/4 mile. Then we hit obstacles and more running.
Most of the running was up hill, very killer! I would say 80% of the people walked some or all of the way.
We were true warriors and ran!! {except the 50 or so feet that was nothing but slippery mud, so slippery one of us fell... not me.. or Lisa... maybe it was Blanca ;) }
Brooke and Nate came to watch and take pictures
Katie and G also came to support us!
And from the race... These are the last obstacles we faced... spectators were only allowed towards the finish
Vertical wall climb
Spider web rope
Leaping fire
And in order to cross the finish line we crawled through and mud pit!
It was the most fun
We survived, and completed the course in 40 minutes!
Next we hit the rinsing station where guys blasted us with huge hoses of cold water
We changed clothes and went to a small burger joint (Green Burgers and Beer) and ate the most amazing burgers ever
I can't wait for the Rugged Maniac in October. Katie is doing it with us and so are our husbands!!

Craft Room Envy
I am so jealous of those who have a crafting space.
Room for all your stuff to be organized
A place to sit in peace with tables, cabinets, open windows, and coffee.
As you know my craft area is also the office
and storage room
and house to Austin's creatures (snake, fish and geckos)
and room for the hunting gear
After reading Kyle's post on her craft corner I got inspired to get at least a tiny area for just me and my stuff.
Mason decided to help
After an hour or so of going through, organizing and trashing I realized I was a hoarder.
I also ended up with a pretty sweet corner myself
I fell in love with these large jars I found at the thrift store... 39 cents!
The desk is just big enough to hold the projects I need to finish up, some hooks, needles, and business card.
I am pleased and content with my space now. I realized I just needed to make the area mine instead of wishing it was so much more.
Still one day, even if it is 25 years away, I will have a craft room.

Easter {part 2}
We headed to Austin's mom in the afternoon for a lunch and egg hunt.
The kids were super excited and Mason was ready to find some eggs. The adults hid a million eggs while the kids waited downstairs, then it was time to go.
Mason acted like he had Easter egg hunted before. He scooped up the eggs and threw them in his basket like a champ.
His cousins would also run by and put eggs in his basket saying "here Mason, this is for you".
It was sweet

Later we went down to the pond for some fishing.
Mason's favorite person all day was grandpa Ty.
We had a ton of fun and can't wait for next year.
I think Mason enjoyed his first Easter
Easter {part 1}
I realized Easter morning that it was the final of Mason's first before he turned one.
Gasp
My little man is almost a year old and has experienced every holiday, birthday, celebration, and first of his babyhood.
That being said I we took a ton of pictures. I divided the day into 2 post so you won't get bored.
We started the day by opening gifts from the Easter Bunny
He got eggs filled with quarters for his piggy bank, summer shirts, puffs, a book, and color body bath soap
The grass was interesting and weird
naturally everything had to be dumped out
and the most fun he had was with dad's birthday gift bag
Next we dyed eggs. I was really excited because I can't remember the last time I dyed eggs. All of us girls have been grown up for awhile now so we have skipped over that part the last few Easters.
Mason enjoyed throwing helping place the eggs in the dye.
We made a Mason egg, a mommy egg and a daddy egg.
Stop by tomorrow for the massive egg hunt
