College Hill Bed and Breakfast

It was about 3:15 pm on Saturday and Austin had just woke from his nap, he told me I needed to pack an overnight bag. I was confused, we hadn't made any plans and I didn't know where we were going. He told me we had 1 hour to get there and I just couldn't think of anywhere an hour away. I packed my bag and anxiously waited to see where we would be spending the night.

Austin had booked the College Hill Bed and Breakfast Cottage for our Anniversary!

It was cozy, relaxing and simply amazing,

We stayed in the Cottage which was a separate little house away from the main building with the other rooms. We had a huge king size bed that was the most comfortable bed we had ever been on, a Whirlpool tub that was more than relaxing and in the morning we enjoyed a delicious hot breakfast.

One of my favorite parts of the room was the bathroom sink, it was a glass bowl that just looked really beautiful.

It was so nice getting away and staying in such a wonderful place for our anniversary. It was the best surprise Austin could have planned. We both really enjoyed just being together for the day and getting away from our normal environment. Who knows maybe we will make that our annual getaway!!

A Year Already?

Feels like just the other day I was anxiously planning my wedding and making dreams come true. It is hard to believe that it has already been a year since Austin and I were wed. It has been a great year both learning and growing together.

Many of you don't know the story of how we met so I am taking this year's anniversary to share it:

My roommate and I were sitting at home watching a movie when her cousin called saying he wanted us to come over and hang out with him and some of his friends. It was about 10 pm and neither of us wanted to go, of course we were both in sweats and just wanted to stay in and relax. After many calls from her cousin we decided we would go by for a bit and say hi. We ended up enjoying being out and about an hour into it Austin walked in. Right away I got butterflies in my tummy and didn't know what to think. I had been around him before when I hung out with his roommates but never really talked or hung out with him. We got along right away and talked all night. From that night on we were inseparable. I remember waking up the next morning and waiting for him to call or text me... finally I got up the nerve and did it myself. We hung out that day and everyday since! Later I found out that he too didn't want to go hang out that night, since he has worked till about 11:30 pm, and the fact that we both did even against our feelings proves that we were suppose to be together.

The first year has be a journey and we have both learned a lot. Marriage is hard sometimes but the love that grows everyday with it makes it more than worth it.

It has been...??

Hey everyone! I know it has seemed like forever since I was on here but what can I say I live a somewhat busy life. Okay truth be told Austin and my life isnt always exciting enough to blog about BUT coming up is a BIG day for the both of us. Most of you know it is our 1 year anniversay so I plan to do something special on here!!
Until then I will let you in on whats been going on.......

Last week at church Austin's truck window was busted in and my purse stolen. Not a good way to start a Sunday. My car and house keys were in there along with the normal; credit cards, drivers license, phone. Luckily we had the help of Austin's dad to replace all our house locks and get my cards cancelled before TOO much danage was done.

We also took some new couples pictures with Andrea a few weeks back. They turned out amazing and if you would like to see them they are on her blog!

Hope all is well with you bloggers and look for updates soon!
