Bite

It amazes me how much Mason learns everyday.

He is becoming independent; when he needs a drink he can crawl to the last place he left his sippy and get a drink. He figures out things I sometimes think he will never figure out.

One word he hasn't comprehended yet is bite.
He insist on shoving all of whatever we hand him to eat in his mouth.

Today I handed him a peanut butter cracker and said "take bites"

Hey Mas, do you have the whole cracker in your mouth?

What? This whole cracker?

Nope

I don't know what you are talking about

Summer

This is what our summer has looked like so far.

I am loving every minute of having a mobile, independent playing toddler (did I say toddler and not baby ??)

We try to figure out if we like sand or not.

We cruse the yard in our ride... It's only a seater, sorry ladies

Dad drags us in the wagon-mobile

We enjoy snacks in our diapers with friends... The moms wear full clothing

We have a HUGE interest in sticks

And, of course, pool parties!!

Mas has grown so much from last summer... he is turning one next Monday and it has been a journey getting this far. I love watching him play and entertain himself. Playdates are super fun as they are able to move around and play with each other.

Right now...

I am sipping my possibly 9th cup of coffee

being chased by this little one

wishing I wasn't tripping over the mess that consumes my living room, hallway, kitchen and bathroom floor

loving my husband for letting every inch of our home be filled with craft fair prep

laughing that Mas makes this face every 30 seconds

5k, sandals, and soccer

This weekend was a busy one! Both my sisters were in town so Mas and I tried to hang out with them as much as possible.

Saturday I ran my second 5k and being as I felt 100% better than last week it went 100% better! I knocked 2 minutes off my time. My goal was 28 minutes and I finished in 28:15! Brooke and Nate decided to run it with us since they were in town. Brooke finished in 27 minutes (dang soccer girl) and Nate knocked it out in 22!! I have been telling people that I am not a runner and I do not necessarily love to run, they tend to look at me weird and ask why I am running so many races this spring/summer.  I do it as part of me time. I love working out and being fit and running is so awesome for getting in shape. Also I love doing it with my girlfriends. I don't get to get out and away from Mas very much and when I do it is nice doing something healthy and good for me with my friends.

We have this weekend off but Easter weekend we are running a 10k! Yes, that is 6 miles, lord help me! I don't really have high goals for this race other than to finish. We are looking at it as our practice run for the River Run 10k in June. I think 60 minutes would be a good time for me. That gives me about 10 minutes a mile, I hope to jog the whole thing but know I may need to walk a minute here and there.

Later Saturday afternoon we attended Brooke's alumni soccer game. The weather was nice and we got to hang with aunt Emily!

Check out the new sandals.... Austin has been looking all over for sandals like this for Mason. He has the exact pair but everywhere he looked they were too expensive. We found these at Target for a reasonable price and Austin was happy to get them, one of many Mason-daddy things

MY guitar hero

I cleaned out may car this weekend, which was waaaay over due but that's not the point, and I found a toy I had purchased for Mason about 2 months ago.

It is a guitar that plays music, counts, makes animal noises and can even be put in Spanish (Austin likes to do this).

Today Mason was on day 2 of being super fussy, he refuses to be put down without whining non-stop. I tried just letting him whine but he continued to do so for 30 minutes so I gave in and held him. I was able to get 5 minutes of him on the floor...alone while he played with his new toy.

Oh hey mom , want me to play this guitar for you??

Look I can play it without using my hands!
oh, you want me to sing too?!

Maybe we should practice some more before we decide to go on tour

ramblings

I totally slacked this week and didn't take one 365 photo. Partly because I got a new camera body and I am having issues with it (not happy and in the process of trying to get it fixed).

For Christmas we got Mason bath toys and he hasn't touched them once, he prefers the plastic cup we use to rinse his hair

I made the most delicious thai noodles the other night and Austin said they tasted weird and asked me to never make them again =(

I am shooting a friends wedding next Saturday and I am scared you know what less and excited at the same time

Now that Mason can sit in a cart shopping is so so so much more enjoyable

I have a serious addiction to coffee, as in I could drink only coffee everyday and I think about my morning cup each night when I go to bed.

I am also that girl who puts 200 calories worth of creamer in her coffee

I want to become a fitfluential ambassador so if you see a lot more fitness post on here that's why, I hope I can inspire you!

I am ready for my next tattoo but I can't decide on what one idea I like most

Dried cranberries have become my snack of choice... I find myself munching them all day

I am all blogged out, thanks for listening

rainy days and teeth

Today was an awful ugly day out. We are happy winter hasn't fully hit us.....yet but we sure have gotten use to the nice temperatures.

We like to look out the window. Today not much was happening because it pretty much rained and spit light snow all day. Not even the birds amused us.

While we were looking out the window I realized I hadn't taken any pictures of out teeth!! Yes, we have 2 teeth that finally came in. After a few rough nights waking up constantly and a few rough days, these puppies are through

Mason was not thrilled I pulled him away from being "watch baby" so the first attempt at capturing them was a great big fail

I decided to try again during dinner. Of course the camera was extremely interesting

and finally he let me see those teethers

I can't get over how stinkin' cute they are. He is constantly chewing on things and thinks it is hilarious when you say "let me see those big boy teeth." I can't believe he has teeth!! My little man is growing up so dang quick.

catching up

I feel like a terrible blogger lately. I haven't kept up on anything but my 365 photo. Honestly nothing new has happened with us Hanna's. We are pretty routine.

I have been on a steady workout routine for 2 weeks now and I can say I feel 100% better about myself inside and out.
I also found a 5k I plan to run in March, this will be the first time in my entire life I will run for more than 1 mile so prayers that I don't die are welcome

Mason is still getting over his cold from 2 weeks ago, he feels and looks better but snot just keeps flowing out of that little nose.

Also, he had his first little tooth come through tonight, you can barely see it but you sure can feel it!!

I am slowing preparing for my craft fair in June but honestly can't find the motivation right now to really get ready. The plan was to use these 6 months before hand to have everything together but I have a feeling I will be rushing around the month before.

Anyone else absolutely loving this winter weather??

Hope all is well in your neck of the woods and thanks for stopping by, I promise to work harder on this blogging thing =)

little worker

this weekend we decided we needed to get a bedside shelf for austin. we like to watch Dexter after putting little man to bed on the weekends and i was the only one with a little shelf on my side on the bed, this resulted in me constantly passing asutin his coke or him holding it.

we went to target and found a nice little 3 foot shelf that would fit perfectly in between the wall and bed. when we returned home mason grabbed his hammer and helped daddy put together the shelf.

my camera battery went dead midway through the process so i missed some of the action =(

 first we grab our hammer

and gather our parts

then we hammer away
here dad, i will hold and you hammer
now you hold while i hammer
it was great seeing them work together on a project. mason really enjoyed helping

at one point mason got a hold of the instructions and decided to eat them, he is a typical man; no need for instructions!!

mason and mommy pictures

ever wonder what happens when you snuggle up next to your 7 month old and try to take a few pictures with him?

this is exactly what happens....

the first picture you take he is laughing and having fun, you haven't annoyed him yet, however, you forgot to change your aperture so he is out of focus

second picture he becomes interested in your camera strap dangling right in front of him

third picture you try to snuggle him but again the strap is more interesting

fourth picture you completely forget to put yourself in

by the fifth he has decided to roll over and grab a toy

finally you give up and realize everyone just wants to see the adorable baby anyways

it's the little things

like having an extra pair of tiny hands helping with the Christmas tree this year

A hot cup of coffee on a cold day

A peaceful sleeping face

a new toaster when you might have accidentally started your old one on fire last week

A happy, healthy little man that brings a smile to your face every. single. day
