Tomorrow

We all have the habit of saying it... tomorrow.
Tomorrow I will this and tomorrow I will that
Lately I have had a lot of things to do tomorrow

Tomorrow I will...

Start walking every evening

Stop drinking pop

Give the dogs a bath

Go to the grocery store with a list so every night before dinner I don't have to run to Dillons for that nights dinner ingredients

Do my P90X workout

Read a book

Be a better listener

Get up earlier in the mornings so I have time to put something other than workout shorts and a t-shirt on (ha)

Clean out the hall closet

Go through the junk in the spare bedroom

Spend time with my mom, dad and sister

Call my Grandparents

Learn to drive stick

So, what is it that you are doing tomorrow?

Easy Headband

Being as it is summer, I hate to have my hair in my face.

Bangs are the worst.

I took some ribbon, embellishments, hair ties and hot glue to make these simple headbands.

Because they are so easy and quick I was able to make several to match just about anything I wear.

Beating the Summer Heat

This summer has been hot.

Really hot.

In the summer there is nothing I like more than to lay in a pool and tan.

I don't have a pool.
I don't have a YMCA membership that allows me to sit in their pools
This is what I have.

A $10 baby pool from Wal-Mart

No complaining on my end, it does the trick.
Lucky for me, I am just small enough to lay perfectly in this pool.
Not only does it keep me cooled off but it is shallow enough that my hair doesn't get wet and turn into a crazy mess.

And my favorite snack to enjoy while laying in my sweet pool..

Mixed berry smoothie

I have always loved smoothies and last summer started testing ways to make my own.

After many tries I found the perfect combination of ingredients

Want to know how to make it??

Well, I will tell you whats in it but I don't have measurements. I pretty much just wing it from sight.

Approximately...

1 cup milk
1 sugar packet
1 cup frozen mixed berries (or fruit of your choice)
1 Tbs. honey
3-4 ice cubes

Blend and Enjoy!

Museum of World Treasures

Thanks to Groupon we were able to explore the Museum of World Treasures this afternoon. I have been interested in going and scored $4 tickets so it was the perfect opportunity. The museum is 3 stories, the first floor was by far the most interesting. Here are a few of my favorite areas.

The HUGE dinosaurs fossils

Look at those teeth!

This river monster struck my fancy because Austin and I love to watch River Monsters on Animal Planet and this reminded me of something they would be searching for in dirty waters.

Mandalay City stone statues were absolutely beautiful.

I noticed the hands of every single one were placed like this.. any ideas to why?

Bird pitcher was thought to have collected water from the stream and return to the land via rain.

President Austin

The Mayans had outlandish rituals.
This is a shrunken head. They would remove the skull and place in boiling water. From there they were put hot stones in the head to make it take shape, after the head had shrunk they would replace the rocks with sand and close it up.They would wear the heads around their necks during battle; they believed the soul inside gave them powers. This is a Mayan doll.
Don't know about you but I would be terrified as a child to play with this Lastly, my favorite section by far was the Egyptian area.
The coffins, mummies, and writings always interest me.

I definitely recommend going if you haven't before!
