i have decided that this year i am really going to work hard to improve my photography. I love to photograph our lives and others.

I have dabbled in and out of learning the fundamentals but never went too in depth. lately i have been seriously sitting down to read and practice.

I wanted to show off some of my recent work because, yes, i am proud of how far i have come.

mini shoot

As promised, i finally got Mason all dressed up in his tux and suit for some pictures.

He only made it through the tux and one vest but what can you expect from a 5 month old?

 Thanks to a high shutter speed and photoshot we got a few good pictures in between the falling over and drool

I recently found a site called iheartfaces and I definitely heart this site!

On Fridays they post a photo SOOC and let you play with editing it.

Emily and Roela

This morning I was able to take some photos of my sister and her friend Roela. It was nice to get two beautiful models to help me with my photography and editing.

Brooke

This is Dook.

She is the oldest of my younger sisters. I don't know why but I have always called her Dook. I can't even remember when I started calling her that.

She is currently attending Missouri Western where she is partaking in the nursing program and plays varsity soccer for them. I didn't realize until the other day how much she has grown up. She has changed a ton since we were little playing in the backyard, digging to China (yes we did that). She is already turning 20 years old this summer. Funny how times flies, I still picture her as this high school girl learning to drive and coming home in the evenings, now she is away at college and not even coming home for the summers. I am glad she has done so well for herself and happy she has grown up to be such a beautiful, still spoiled, little sister of mine.

Little Emily let me take some photos of her this morning as I continue to teach myself manual. Thanks to her patience a few came out decent (out of A LOT taken). Emmy was a good model; she is very pretty and a we had a blast. Let me know what you guys think and remember this was my first attempt :)
