Craft Fair

Last Saturday I attempted to sell my crochet goods at a craft fair.

As many of you know my first attempt back in April was a success (earning wise) and a failure (presentation wise)

This fair was indoors so the wind was not able to completely ruin my booth but the traffic was slow and most people were just there to browse not purchase.

The day was long but I was able to get my name out there and hand out a bunch of business cards.

I hope that the day was just a weird one because I signed up to do 2 more of these fairs. On a positive note I won't have much inventory to replace =)

Bite

It amazes me how much Mason learns everyday.

He is becoming independent; when he needs a drink he can crawl to the last place he left his sippy and get a drink. He figures out things I sometimes think he will never figure out.

One word he hasn't comprehended yet is bite.
He insist on shoving all of whatever we hand him to eat in his mouth.

Today I handed him a peanut butter cracker and said "take bites"

Hey Mas, do you have the whole cracker in your mouth?

What? This whole cracker?

Nope

I don't know what you are talking about

Smash the Cupcake

Because I haven't posted enough photos of Mason's birthday week I will finish off with a quick few from his smash the cake session.

I gave him a leftover cupcake from his birthday and let him go at it.

I went back and forth on doing these photos and finally decided you can really only do this kind of thing once and if I skip it I will regret it. Lighting wasn't good but the memory is what counts

One

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MASON!!

My little man has gone from this

to this

I am pretty such it was just yesterday that I was sitting in his room fighting contractions, more ready than ever for him to be here.

Motherhood has been such an incrediable experience this far. Although it has been a rough road adjusting to raising a child it has also been the most memorable, rewarding, and awesome road as well.

I loved...
 having Mason at home,
breastfeeding
babywearing
snuggling
holding
kissing
smelling
watching milestones
teaching
loving
watching him change

Enough about me...

Mason is completely weaned from breastfeeding (finished up at 11 months)
Sleeping through the night (praise Jesus)
Self-feeding
Crawling
Pulling up
Climbing
Talking
Getting in trouble

He says mom, mama, dada, hey, up, ut oh

He understands being called by name and being told no. He like to test our ability to get away with things...often

His favorite things are playing peek a boo, hiding in the curtains, and making mommy and daddy chase him.

He enjoys eating all foods but his favorites are anything with cheese (grilled cheese, cheese pizza and cheese quesadilla), poptarts and doughnuts. He is finally accepting cows mike...cold from the fridge!

He has 6 teeth
loves to walk around holding your hands
loves other children

Mason is such a long waited blessing and we couldn't love him any more than we do!

Party Time

We had a small party for Mason on Friday evening.

We rented a building, grilled food, played with friends, and enjoyed cake.

Thanks to everyone who came out, he had a blast and we appreciate you helping celebrate our little man.

Summer

This is what our summer has looked like so far.

I am loving every minute of having a mobile, independent playing toddler (did I say toddler and not baby ??)

We try to figure out if we like sand or not.

We cruse the yard in our ride... It's only a seater, sorry ladies

Dad drags us in the wagon-mobile

We enjoy snacks in our diapers with friends... The moms wear full clothing

We have a HUGE interest in sticks

And, of course, pool parties!!

Mas has grown so much from last summer... he is turning one next Monday and it has been a journey getting this far. I love watching him play and entertain himself. Playdates are super fun as they are able to move around and play with each other.
